Test Optional Colleges-You should submit scores!
Hello! Another podcast I discovered as part of my UCLA classwork is from the College Checklist podcast interview of Paul Hemphill who wrote "Planning for College." Test optional schools actually still take test scores, provide merit aid based on test scores and admit 70% of their students based on test scores. Test optional schools also experience a 20%+ increase in applications and are able to reject even more students. It is not about being nice, it is a great P.R. tool for colleges to reach more applicants. Listen here:
