A San Francisco native, Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Loyola Marymount University, where she is a member of the Advisory Board for the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts. She has been actively involved at the University of Southern California, serving as President of the Interfraternity Parents Council and as a committee member on the Alumnae Coordinating Council. Kathleen conducts college essay writing seminars at pre-collegiate summer programs. She also coordinates college success workshops for incoming freshmen, helping them navigate their path to maximize their educational investment.
Kathleen establishes strong connections with her students, guiding and motivating them throughout the process. Mindful of the pressures teens face, Kathleen believes in using a positive approach to help students find the best path.

While working in Campolindo's College and Career Center for nine years, Cathy advised and encouraged hundreds of students in all four grades. Although no longer working there, she continues to use the insights learned.
She has a keen sense of where students are in their journey and what's important or stressful along the way. She has worked with the highly-motivated self-starters, students who feel lost and need a hand, and everyone in between. She helps them understand that they have a unique path awaiting them, regardless of where they are starting from.
She encourages students to dabble in areas of interest and tries to connect them with those opportunities, whether it’s extracurricular activities or speaking with a professional in a specific field. She believes that through this, they become more aware of what excites them and how to get there.
